INTRODUCTION O UCTION AND SCOPE OF WORK <br /> In accordance with a request from Mr David Atwater of Van De Pol Enterprises, Advanced <br /> Geo Environmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this Quarterly Report for 2402 Pacific Avenue in <br /> Stockton, California The location of the site is illustrated in Figure 1 - Location Map A plan of the <br /> site is illustrated in Figure 2 - Site Plan <br />' The scope of work of this investigation included the installation of five additional ground water <br /> monitoring wells, two soil vapor extraction(SVE)wells and five soil probe borings with the objective <br /> of assessing and monitoring subsurface impact of petroleum hydrocarbons beneath the site This <br /> report is prepared in accordance with guidelines established by the San Joaquin County Public Health <br /> Services - Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) and the Central Valley Regional 'Water Quality <br /> Control Board for investigation of underground storage tank (UST) sites <br /> Background information and a description of prior investigations at the site was included in the <br /> Preliminary Site Investigation and Evaluation Report - August 1996, dated 09 September 1996 <br /> prepared by AGE <br /> t20 PROCEDURES <br /> 2 1 ADVANCEMENT OF SOIL PROBE BORINGS DECEMBER 1996 <br /> On 19 and 20 December 1996, six soil probe borings (B-3 through B-S) were advanced off-site as <br /> part of ongoing site assessment activities of the former UST area Soil probe borings B-3 through B-8 <br /> were advanced vertically to total depths of 40-feet below site grade (bsg) The soil probe boring <br /> locations are depicted in Figure 2 Advancement of soil probe borings was accomplished utilizing <br /> AGE's van-mounted Geoprobe 5400 The Geoprobe was equipped with 1 125-inch diameter probe <br /> rods with an attached 2 15-inch diameter soil sampler <br /> 2 1 1 SOIL SAMPLE COLLECTION <br /> Discrete soil samples were collected at five-foot intervals beginning at 15-feet bsg utilizing a <br /> Geoprobe soil sampling assembly loaded with pre-cleaned 1 125-inch by 6-inch brass sleeves Soil <br /> samples were preserved by covering both ends of the second brass sleeve with Teflon sheets, capping <br /> and sealing with tape Upon preservation, each sample sleeve was labeled with soil probe boring <br /> • location, depth, time, date and sampler's initials <br /> The samples were logged on a chain-of-custody form, stored in a chilled container and transported <br />
