28 February 1997 <br /> AGE-NC Project No 96-0173 <br />' Page 4 of 4 <br />' present in ground water at the site <br /> • The laboratory reports for the past two quarters suggest that detected TPH-d is the result of <br /> gasoline interference <br /> 42 RECOMMENDATIONS <br />' Based upon data collected during the August 1996 sampling event AGE recommends the following <br />' Additional ground water monitoring wells, screened appropriately above surface ground <br /> water, will be required off the site in all directions We recommend that additional off-site <br /> I monitoring wells be installed following the advancement of additional hydropunch soil <br /> borngs Data derived from additional hydropunch soil borings will provide a more efficient <br /> and cost effective approach for determining the number and locations of additional monitoring <br /> well(s) <br /> • The next quarterly monitoring at the site should be scheduled for March 1997 <br /> • Since it has not been detected for two consecutive quarters, MTBE should be eliminated from <br /> the monitoring program for wells MW-1 through MW-4 <br /> 50 LIMITATIONS <br /> Our professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised by <br /> environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities The findings were based mainly upon <br />' analytical results provided by an independent laboratory Evaluations of the geologic/hydro- geologic <br /> conditions at the site for the purpose of this investigation are made from a limited number of available <br /> data points (e g ground water samples), and subsurface conditions may vary away from these data <br />' points No other warranty, expressed or implied, is made as to the professional recommendations <br /> contained in this report <br />• �I <br />
