INTRODUCTION <br /> In accordance with the request of Mr David Atwater of Van De Pol Enterprises, Advanced <br /> GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this Work Plan Addendum for the installation of at <br /> least four ground water mo_mto`nngn _wells at 2402 Pacific Avenue, Stockton,California The objective <br /> of th`­work this investigation is to assess the impact of petroleum hydrocai bons at the site The <br /> scope of work for this investigation includes the advancement of at least three single-completed two- <br /> inch diameter ground water monitoring wells and one dual-completed two-inch diameter ground <br /> water monitoring well However, additional monitoring wells may be required to adequately define <br /> the lateral and vertical extent of hydrocarbon-impacted soil and/or ground water The location of the <br /> site is illustrated in Figure I A plan of the site is illustrated on Figure 2 <br /> This Work Plan Addendum is prepared in accordance with San Joaquin County Public Health <br /> Services - Environmental Health Division(PHS-EHD) and Central Valley Regional Water Quality <br /> Control Board (CVRWQCB) guidelines for the investigation of underground storage tank (UST) <br /> sites <br /> 20. BACKGROUND <br /> 21 SITE LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION <br /> The site is located at 2402 Pacific Avenue, on the northeast corner of the intersection of Castle Street <br /> and Pacific Avenue The site is located in a topographically flat area at an elevation between 10 and <br /> 15 feet above mean sea level in the City of Stockton, San Joaquin County, California The site is <br /> within the northeast quarter of Section 6, Township 2 North, Range 6 East, Mount Diablo Base and <br /> Meridian(Stockton West Quadrangle, 7 5-Minute USGS Topographic Series, 1968, photo revised <br /> 1987) <br /> The site is currently a vacant lot, with all structures and improvements removed circa 1996 The <br /> property encompasses approximately 0 15 acres or 6,325 square feet Ground water monitoring well <br /> locations are depicted in Figure 2 <br /> 22 PRELIMINARY SITE ASSESSMENT ACTIVITIES <br /> The following is a brief summary of preliminary site assessment field activities conducted at the site <br /> • On 12 March 1996, three 10,000-gallon USTs were excavated and removed from the site <br /> Substantial total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH) were detected in soil samples collected <br /> Advanced GeoEnvnromnenlai, Inc <br />
