06 December 2000
• AGE-NC Project No 95-0173
IPage 4 of 7
Between 01 July 2000 and 04 October 2000, AGE determined that the average TPH-g concentration
and flow rate from the SVE system influent soil-gas vapor stream were 1,450 micrograms per liter
(4g/1) and 115 standard cubic feet per minute (SCFM), respectively
I
3 1 RELATIVE GROUND WATER ELEVATION AND GRADIENT
During the September 2000 ground water monitoring event, depths to ground water in monitoring
wells MW-I through MW-13 were measured between 23 82 and 26 33 feet below the tops of well
casings, ground water elevations were calculated to be between 15 20 feet and 16 00 feet below
mean sea level Ground water elevation at the site decreased an average 2 24 feet between the May
2000 and September 2000 ground water monrtonng events The ground water elevation data for
I MW-1 through MW-13 during the September 2000 ground water monitoring event is depicted to
Figure 3
IGround water flow direction for the area bound by wells MW-1 through MW-13, AW-IA and
AW-2A was generally toward the northeast at a gradient of 0 003 ft/ft, or approximately 16 feet per
I . mile (Figure 3)
3 2 LABORATORY RESULTS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES
TPH-g was detected in ground water samples collected from wells MW-1, MW-2, MW-3, MW-4,
MW-6,MW-9, MW-12, AW-IA and AW-2A at concentrations as high as 170,000 /'tg/1 (AW-2A)
BTEX compounds were detected in ground water samples collected from wells MW-1, MW-2,
MW-3, MW-4, MW-6, MW-9, MW-12, AW-lA and AW-2A at concentrations as high as 40,000 -
kcgll (toluene, AW-2A) The greatest benzene concentration was detected from AW-2A at a
concentration of 20,000,ug/l MTBE was not detected in any of the seventeen ground water samples
by the EPA 8020 analysts
MTBE was detected to the ground water sample collected from MW-4 utilizing EPA Method 8260
I Modified at a concentrations of 19 ggll, respectively The other fuel oxygenated compounds
mentioned above were not detected during the laboratory analysts Analytical results of the ground
water samples are summarized to Table 2 The laboratory reports (McCampbell Analytical Inc Lab
II D 49289 through 49305) and chain-of-custody forms are presented to Appendix C
I
•
IAdvanced CeoEnviranmental,Inc
