1 <br />' Quarterly Report - Second Quarter 2004 <br /> CALIFORNIA FUELS CARDLOCK STATION <br />' 2402 Pacific Avenue, Stockton, California <br />' 10. INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr David Atwater,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this <br /> quarterly report documenting the procedures and results for the second quarter 2004 ground water <br /> monitoring event performed at 2402 Pacific Avenue, Stockton, California(the site), the report also <br /> documents April, May and June 2004 progress of the in-situ air sparging (IAS) and soil vapor <br /> extraction (SVE) recovery system The objectives of the site activities were to monitor dissolved <br /> petroleum hydrocarbon concentrations in ground water, to assess ground water flow direction and <br />' gradient, and to monitor the progress and effectiveness of SVE and IAS remediation at the site The <br /> site setting is illustrated on Figure 1 Site structures and monitoring well locations are depicted on <br /> Figure 2 <br />' This report has been prepared in accordance with guidelines issued by the California Regional Water <br /> Quality Control Board(RWQCB) -Central Valley Region for investigation of underground storage <br />' tank (UST) sites A summary of previous investigations at the site is in Appendix A <br /> The following is a brief summary of site assessment and SVE remediation activities performed at <br />'. the site between 24 March and 06 July 2004 (second quarter 2004) <br /> e Between 24 March 2004 and 22 June 2004 - Continued SVE/IAS remediation utilizing <br />' on-site SVE wells (VW-1 through VW-4) and IAS well AW-213, extracted a total of <br /> approximately 56 pounds of petroleum hydrocarbons from the subsurface <br /> • 28 April 2004 - Monthly monitoring event performed on SVE/IAS remediation system <br /> • 26 May 2004 - Monthly monitoring event performed on SVE/IAS remediation system <br /> • 22 June 2004 - Monthly monitoring event performed on SVE/IAS remediation system <br /> • 06 July 2004 - Quarterly ground water monitoring event (second quarter 2004) performed <br />' at wells MW-1 through MW-13, AW-I and AW-2 <br /> 2.0. GROUND WATER MONITORING AND SAMPLING PROCEDURES <br /> On 06 July 2004, ground water monitoring was performed at the site on single-level wells MW-1 <br /> through MW-12, multi-level well MW-13 (A, B and C) and air sparge wells AW-1 (A and B) and <br /> AW-2 (A and B), due to parked vehicles, wells MW-5 and MW-11 were not sampled on 06 July <br /> 2004 Ground water monitoring procedures for the site were outlined in Work Plan Addendum, dated <br /> 16 May 2000 and conform to ground water monitoring guidelines issued by the San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Department(SJCEHD) As built construction details of all monitoring wells <br /> Iare summarized in Table 1 <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc <br />
