INTRODUCTION <br /> I At the request of Mr David Atwater,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this <br /> quarterly report documenting the procedures and results for first quarter 2004 ground water <br /> monitoring event performed at 2402 Pacific Avenue(the site), Stockton, California, the report also <br /> I documents January, February and March 2004 progress of the in-situ air sparging (IAS) and soil <br /> vapor extraction (SVE) recovery system The objectives of the site activities were to monitor <br /> dissolved petroleum hydrocarbon concentrations in ground water, to assess ground water flow <br /> I direction and gradient, and to monitor the progress and effectiveness of SVE and IAS remediation <br /> at the site The site setting is illustrated on Figure 1 Site structures and monitoring well locations <br /> are depicted on Figure 2 <br /> This report has been prepared in accordance with guidelines issued bythe California Regional Water <br /> Quality Control Board(RWQCB)-Central Valley Region for investigation of underground storage <br /> tank(UST)sites A summary ofprevious investigations at the site was included in the AGE-prepared <br /> Corrective Action Plan-May 1998,dated 05 May 1998 Analytical data acquired to date is included <br /> in this report <br /> The following is a brief summary of site assessment and SVE remediation activities performed at <br /> the site between 30 December and 24 March 2004 (First Quarter 2004) <br /> I • Between 30 December 2003 and 24 March 2004-Continued SVE/IAS remediation utilizing <br /> on-site SVE wells (VW-1 through VW-4) and IAS well AW-2B, extracted a total of <br /> approximately 184 pounds of petroleum hydrocarbons from the subsurface <br /> • 26 January 2004 - Monthly monitoring event performed on SVE/lAS remediation system <br /> I • 23 February 2004 -Monthly monitoring event performed on SVE/IAS remediation system <br /> e 19 March 2004 - Quarterly ground water monitoring event (First Quarter 2004) performed <br /> Iat wells MW-1 through MW-13, AW-1 and AW-2 <br /> • 24 March 2004 - Monthly monitoring event performed on SVE/IAS remediation system <br /> I <br /> I2.0 GROUND WATER MONITORING AND SAMPLING PROCEDURES <br /> On 19 March 2004, ground water monitoring was performed at the site on single-level wells MW-1 <br /> through MW-12, multi-level well MW-13 (A, B and C) and air sparge wells AW-1 (A and B) and <br /> AW-2 (A and B), due to a discrepancy in the ground water monitoring results collected from well <br /> • MW-13C, the well was re-sampled on 09 April 2004 Groundwater monitoring procedures for the <br /> I <br /> I <br />
