Advanced
GeoEnvironmentai, Inc .
10 August 2009
AGE-NC Project No. 95-0128
Mr. Frank Girardi
San Joaquin County - Environmental Health Department
600 East Main Street
Stockton, California 95202
Subject: Work Plan for Well Destruction
PACIFIC MINI MART
4511 Pacific Avenue, Stockton, California
Dear Mr. Frank Girardi:
At your request Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.(AGE)has prepared has preparedthis workplan
for the destruction of ground water and vapor wells at 4511 Pacific Avenue in Stockton,California.
The above-referenced letter is included as Appendix A;location of the site is illustrated in Figure 1;
site structures and monitoring well locations are depicted on Figure 2.Also enclosed with this work
plan is a well destruction permit and the associated well destruction permit fee.
INTRODUCTION/BACKGROUND
To date, a total of 20 groundwater-monitoring wells (MW-1 through MW-11B,,MW-12A and
MW-12B through MW-18) and five soil vapor extraction wells and two ground water extraction
welIs have been advanced on-site and off-site. Based on previous site assessments and as detailed
in the AGE-prepared Closure Summary Report dated 15 May 2009(CSR),the majority ofpetroleum
hydrocarbon-impacted soil appears to be limited to the below the ground water table near the former
underground storage tank(UST)dispenser release area.Low concentrations of dissolved petroleum
hydrocarbon constituents were detected sporadically in monitoring wells on-site and soil vapor
extraction well.AGE proposes to drill-out-the well with significant ground water impact;soil vapor
well_VW"L with the remaining wells being destroyed by pressure grout techniques..
A't5'
,0
837 `;haw Raid, 5tu:kt.un.
