The work plan proposed collecting samples from"core"area of the contamination on site <br /> after 12 months of operation of the SVE system,or when the efficiency of the SVE unit has <br /> declined to determine the remaining petroleum hydrocarbon remaining in the soil. <br /> Environmental Health Department (EHD) has determined that soil samples should be <br /> collected significant amount of contaminant mass in the soil has been removed and the <br /> efficiency of the SVE system has fallen such that maintaining operation of the SVE system <br /> is no longer a cost-effective remediation alternative.
