Weber Avenue, Third floor
Stockton, California 95202
Subicet: Remedial Action Work Plan -Addendum
PACIFIC MINI MART
4511 Pacific Avenue, Stockton, California
Dear Mr. Wong_
At the request of W,Art Wyatt,Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc. (AGE)has installed connection
piping for the soil vapor extraction wells and attempted-to procure a permit for vapor discharge;
additional ground water extraction well EW-2 was activated.
• The feasibility of ground water recovery from ground water extraction well EW-I'has been
greatly reduced over the past three years, due to a lowering of the ground water table within
the well casing, and general overproduction of groundwater fronn the well 0.5 million
gallons) which has possible fduled the.well casing screen inlets. AGE proposes to install a
law-flow ground water pump; operated on pneumatic pressure (air), within well EW-1 to
continue ground water recovery. This pump operates at rates of two to three gallons per
minute, during operational cycles. Additionally;this well pump has far less down-tithe, or
necessary ground water recovery within the well, prior to re-initiating a pumping operation
when compared to an electrical motor driven pump.
• With the addition-of.one ground water extraction well (EW-2), the.process pump on the
ground water treatment system should be replaced to glow for higher discharge volumes and
flow..Also the Cityof.Stockton discharge permit must be amended to increase the newhigher
flow volumes; the permit should be anticipated at eight to ten gallons per minutc. Upon
approval of the work plan addendum, AGE will install the recommended equipment and
amend the discharge permit accordingly.
Ifyou have any questions or"require further information.,please contact our office at(209)467-1006.
Sincerely,
Advanced GeoEn vironmental,Inc.
William R.
