A 55 gallon steel drum of oily absorbent and two 55 <br /> gallon steel drums of used oil were observed in the chemical storage container with no accumulation start dates. <br /> Disposal records on site indicate that these wastes were last disposed of on October 1 and October 2, 2015. Since it <br /> cannot be determined how long these hazardous wastes have been on site, immediately contact a licensed hazardous <br /> waste hauler to dispose of these wastes under manifest. Submit a copy of the manifest(s)to the EHD within 30 days. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 605 CCR 66262.34(f) Failed to completely label containers or tanks of hazardous waste. <br /> The following containers were observed with incomplete hazardous waste labeling in the chemical storage container: <br /> -A 55 gallon steel drum of used oil with no labeling <br /> -A 55 gallon steel drum of used oil with only the contents labeled <br /> -A 55 gallon steel drum of oily absorbent with no accumulation start date <br /> All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: <br /> -the words "Hazardous Waste" <br /> - name and address of generator <br /> - hazardous properties (ignitable, corrosive, reactive, toxic) <br /> -physical state(liquid, solid) <br /> -composition (contents) <br /> -accumulation start date <br /> Immediately label these containers and ensure that all hazardous waste containers are marked with all the required <br /> information. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 608 CCR 66266.130 Failed to properly manage used oil and fuel filters. <br /> A 55 gallon steel drum of used oil filters was observed with an accumulation start date of January 26, 2015. Facilities <br /> that generate up to one ton of used oil filters per year may store the filters up to one year. Facilities that generate one <br /> ton or more of used oil filters may store the filters for up to 180 days. Immediately recycle these filters under a bill of <br /> lading and submit a copy of the bill of lading to the EHD. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> Overall Inspection Comments: <br /> Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form to the EHD with a statement <br /> documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each violation, and any supporting <br /> paperwork, by May 28, 2016. <br /> Please be aware as of January 1, 2013, all businesses are required to submit all hazardous materials information <br /> online to the California Environmental Reporting System (CERS) at http://cers.calepa.ca.gov.
