• 13 September 2001 <br /> I AGE-NC Project No 95-0128 <br /> Page 3 of 7 <br /> I24 LABORATORY ANALYSES OF SOIL SAMPLES <br /> Selected soil samples were analyzed for <br /> • Total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline (TPH-g) and diesel (TPH-d) in <br /> accordance with EPA Method 8015 Modified and <br /> • Volatile aromatic hydrocarbons benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and total xylenes (BTEX) <br /> in accordance with EPA Method 8020 <br /> 25 MONITORING WELL DEVELOPMENT PROCEDURES <br /> On 11 June 2001, a Solmst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water in <br /> monitoring wells MW-13 through MW-16 After depth to ground water measurements were <br /> collected, approximately 25 to 30 gallons of water was purged from each well to be sampled using <br /> liea PVC submersible two-stage pump Temperature,pH and conductivity of purged ground water were <br /> measured at five or ten gallon intervals utilizing an ICM water analyzer The field data and field <br /> sheets are included in Appendix B Purged water was temporanly stored on-site in 55-gallon DOT- <br /> approved H-17 storage drums pending proper disposal <br /> 2 6 MONITORING WELL PURGE PROCEDURES <br /> On 02 July 2001, a Solinst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water in <br /> monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-16 and vapor well VW1 <br /> On 02 and 03 July 2001, a minimum of 3 casing-water volumes were purged from each well to be <br /> I sampled using a PVC submersible two-stage pump or disposal bailer Temperature, pH and <br /> conductivity of purged ground water were measured at various intervals, depending on the volume <br /> of water in each well, using an ICM or Oakton water analyzers The field data and field sheets are <br /> included in Appendix B Purged water was temporarily stored on-site in 55-gallon DOT-approved <br /> H-17 storage drums pending proper disposal Following purging, the depth to ground water was <br /> measured to ensure that a minimum of 80% well-volume recharge had been achieved prior to <br /> sampling <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental Inc <br />
