1 <br />' 29 December 2000 ' <br /> AGE-NC Project No 95-0128 <br /> tPage 3 of 5 <br />' The ground water table occurred within the screened intervals of the wells monitored, with the <br /> exception of the deeply screened monitoring wells (MW-1 to MW-3, MW-I IB and MW-1213) <br />' Ground water was inferred to be flowing approximately northeast (N 21°E) in the properly screened <br /> wells (Figure 3) The gradient for the upper ground water was approximately 0 0014 ft/ft <br />' 32 ANALYTICAL RESULTS FROM GROUND WATER SAMPLES <br />' MAI received, extracted and analyzed the ground water samples on 27 October 2000 MAI issued <br /> a report dated 03 November 2000 <br /> IThe analytical results from the 24 October 2000 ground water samples are as follows <br /> • Dissolved petroleum hydrocarbons were detected in samples from monitoring wells MW-2 <br />' through MW-6, well MW-12 and vapor well VW-I <br /> • In general, the highest concentrations of hydrocarbons were detected in the water samples <br /> collected from monitoring wells MW-5 and MW-4, (on the northeastern and eastern portion <br /> of the site), which contained 11.000 microgram per liter (ugll) and 44 000 ,ug/l TPH-g <br /> respectively Vapor well VW-1 contained 2,300 ,ug/1 TPH-g <br /> G TPH-d was detected at concentrations as high as 5,100 4g11 (MW-5) <br /> C Benzene was detected at significant concentrations in wells MW-2, MW-4, MW-5 and vapor <br /> Iwell VW-1 at concentrations of 1 2 µg/l, 27 µg/1, 560 4gll, and 100 ugll, respectively <br /> • MTBE was detected in all ground water samples collected with the exception of the western <br /> I most monitoring well MW-10 and MW-1 on-site Detected concentrations of MTBE ranged <br /> from 4 84g/l (MW-7) to 760 pg/1 (MW-8) <br /> I0 Ethanol was only detected in the ground water sample collected from well MW-2 on-site <br /> Laboratory results of water samples analyzed for petroleum hydrocarbons are summarized in Tables <br /> 2 and 3 The laboratory reports for the quarterly monitoring event (MAI Laboratory ID No 51403 <br /> to 51417) quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) reports and the chain-of custody form are <br /> included in Appendix B <br /> I <br /> I <br /> Advanced GeAmironmental Inc <br />
