I -
I14 August 2000
• AGE-NC Project No 95-0128
' through MW5 was approximately 33 feet, 26 feet, 25 feet, 0 70 feet, and 0 65 feet over the tops of
the wells' screened intervals, respectively The ground water table occurred within the screened
intervals of the other wells monitored, with the exception of deeply screened monitoring wells MW-
' 1 through MW-3
Ground water was inferred to be flowing approximately N 12'E in both the properly screened wells
' and the deeply screened wells (Figure 3) The gradient for the four properly screened wells was
approximately 0 0018 ft/ft The gradient determined for the three drowned wells was approximately
0 0012 ft/ft
On 20 June 2000,the average ground water elevation in wells MW-8 through MW-12 was calculated
to be -13 68 feet msl The ground water table occurred within the screened intervals of the wells
I monitored, with the exception of deeply screened monitoring wells MW-1 IB and MW-12B Ground
water was inferred to be flowing approximately N 20°W 1n the properly screened wells (Figure 4)
The northwestern gradient was approximately 0 002 ft/ft
I . 33 ANALYTICAL RESULTS FROM SOIL SAMPLES
A total of 13 soil samples were analyzed for TPH-g, TPH-d, BTEX and seven fuel additives by EPA
Method 8260 Modified
• TPH-g, TPH-d, and BTEX compounds were not detected above laboratory reporting limits
Iin any of the soil samples collected and analyzed
• MTBE was detected in 10 of the soil samples collected from borings MW8, MW9, MW 11,
and MW 12 at concentrations as high as 390 ,ug/kg (MW 12-40) by EPA Method 8260 No
Iother oxygenates were detected in the soil sample analysis, these concentrations are most
likely reflective of impacted ground water in the pore spaces of the soil rather than adsorbed
I MTBE Analytical results of soil samples are summarized on Table 2 and Table 3 The
laboratory reports (MAI Laboratory I D No 40169-40181), quality assurance and quality
control (QA/QC) report and sham-of-custody forms are included in Appendix E
• Cross sections with the MTBE concentrations posted are depicted in Figures 5 and 6
I
Advanced CeoEnvirnnmental Inc
