06 August 2004 <br /> • AGE-NC Project No 95-0128 <br />' Page 8of11 <br />' The ground water table occurred within the screened Interval of the shallow-screened monitoring <br /> wells, however, wells MW-1 to MW-3, MW-11B and MW-12B and MWA 8 are deeper-screened <br /> wells and are currently drowned The depth to ground water and ground water elevation data is <br />' summarized in Table 2 The areal ground water flow direction was Inferred to be east to northeast <br /> at gradients between 0 005 ft/ft to 0 006 ft/ft (Figure 3) <br /> 3 4 ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF MONITORING WELL GROUND WATER SAMPLES <br />' TPH-g was detected in ground water samples MW-4, MW-5, MW-11A, MW-I IB, MW-15 and <br /> VW-1 at concentrations of 6,200 µg/l, 6,100 µg11, 320 µg/1, 50 µg11, 200 µg/1 and 3,400 µg/1, <br /> respectively TPH-d was not detected In any samples <br />' Various BTEX compounds were detected in samples MW-1, MW-2, MW-4, MW-5 and VW-1 at <br /> maximum concentrations of 570 µg/1 benzene, 59 µg/1 toluene, 920 µg/1 ethylbenzene and 350 µg/1 <br />' total xylenes <br /> MTBE was detected in ground water samples MW-I through MW-5, MW-11A,MW11B, MW-15 <br />' and VW-1 at concentrations ranging from 5 4 µg/1 in MW-I to 1,400 µg/1 in MW-5 (see Figure 4) <br />' No other target analytes were detected in the samples analyzed The analytical results are <br /> summarized in Tables 3 and 4 The laboratory reports for the quarterly monitoring event (CTEL <br /> Project No CT214-0403227), QA/QC report and chain of custody forms are Included in Appendix <br />' G GeoTracker confirmation pages of the submitted laboratory electronic deliverable format(EDF) <br /> files are included in Appendix I <br /> 3 5 STRATIGRAPHY AND GROUND WATER OCCURRENCE <br />' During the installation of borings on-site,light brown to brown,dry,sandy silt was encountered from <br /> surface grade to 25 feet bsg Gray or tan, silty sand and poorly graded sand or wet, coarse-sandy <br /> gravel was encountered from depths of 25 to 40 feet bsg Ground water was present in the gravel and <br /> sand Petroleum hydrocarbon odor was noted in the samples collected Organic vapor was detected <br /> in the soil samples recovered from borings PID data is Included on the boring logs (Appendix C) <br /> 36 ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF SOIL SAMPLES <br /> A total of eight soil samples were analyzed for TPH-g,TPH-d,BTEX and the fuel additive MTBE <br /> • <br /> Advanced GeoEnvzronmental Inc <br />
