Work Plan - October 2000 <br /> Former Arco Mini Mart <br /> 4511 Pacific Avenue <br /> Stockton, California <br /> 10 INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr Art Wyatt the property owner for the above referenced site and in accordance <br /> with your directive,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE)has prepared the enclosed work plan <br /> for 4511 Pacific Avenue in Stockton, California (site) <br /> The scope of the work includes the advancement of ten soil borings for the installation ground water <br /> monitoring wells and ground water extraction wells The scope of work also includes the initiation <br /> of shallow ground water extraction, treatment and disposal, as an interim remediation measure, to <br /> reduce the offsite migration of petroleum hydrocarbons and the fuel additive MTBE A plan of the <br /> site and area of subsurface investigation are illustrated on Figure 2 <br /> This work plan was prepared in accordance with San Joaquin County Public Health Services - <br /> Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) and Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control <br /> Board guidelines for well installation and subsurface investigation of underground storage tank <br /> (UST) sites <br /> 2.0 BACKGROUND <br /> The site history and a description of previous work performed at the site were detailed in the <br /> Quarterly Report- March 1996 dated 30 April 1996, prepared by AGE Findings from the latest soil <br /> and grab ground water sampling event were detailed in Quarterly Report -June 1998, prepared by <br /> AGE, dated 22 December 1998 <br /> 21 SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> The site is located at the northwest corner of Pacific Avenue and Rose Marie Lane in Stockton, <br /> California and is currently operated as a gasoline dispensing station and mint-mart The facility <br /> consists of a building and three dispenser pump islands covered with a canopy <br /> 22 SITE ASSESSMENT <br /> Over nearly a ten year period, since February 1991, the PHS-EHD required assessment of soil and <br /> ground water impacted by an unauthorized release from the norther most dispenser island on the site <br /> The north dispenser is believed to be one of the source of a direct hydrocarbon impact to the soil at <br /> the site <br /> Advanced GeoEnvtronmcotal,luc <br />
