PROCEDURES <br /> 41 PROBING AND SAMPLING <br /> For the collection of soil and ground water samples, the following procedures will be performed <br /> I Prepare a site health and safety plan in accordance with Occupational Safety and Health <br /> Guidance Manual for Hazardous Waste Site Activities (Prepared by National Institute for <br /> Occupational Safety and Health Administration, U S Coast Guard and U S Environmental <br /> Protection Agency, 1985) <br /> 2 Notify the PHS-EHD 48 hours prior to commencement of any work, I-Aile securing proper <br /> city/county soil boring permits <br /> 3 Boring Iocations will be marked at least 48 hours in advance for an Underground Service <br /> Alert (I1SA) c'herk of iindergrounri utiIitieg nr n,naa <br /> r•r�� <br /> 4 Initially,advance eight probe borings using a van-mounted Geoprobe equipped with a 1 125- <br /> inch diameter probe rods Probe borings will be advanced to a minimum depth of 45 feet <br /> bsg Probe boring locations are illustrated on Figure 1 If field conditions indicate that <br /> impacted soil and or ground water is present,additional probe bonngs may be advanced with <br /> concurrence from the PHS-EHD <br /> . 5 Decontaminate sampling equipment in an Alconox solution and rinse twice with water prior <br /> Advanced GeaEnvironmental,Inc <br />
