INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE OF WORK <br />' In accordance with the request of Mr Art Wyatt, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc , (AGE) has <br /> prepared this Quarterly Report for the site located at 4511 Pacific Avenue, Stockton, California (the <br /> site) The location of the site is illustrated in Figure I - Location Map Structures, monitoring well <br /> and soil boring locations are illustrated in Figure 2 -Site Plan <br /> Site history and a description of previous work performed at the site were detailed in Quarterly <br /> Report-March 1996, dated 30 April 1996, prepared by AGE <br /> The scope of work was to monitor and sample ground water at the site Monitoring was performed <br /> in accordance with San Joaquin County Public Health Services - Environmental Health Division <br /> (PHS-EHD) and Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) guidelines <br /> for investigations of underground storage tank (UST) sites <br /> I <br /> During this quarter the PHS-EHD approved a work plan addendum dated October 1997 in order to <br /> 10 assess lateral migration of hydrocarbons from the site <br /> I2.0. PROCEDURES <br /> 21 MONITORING WELL PURGE PROCEDURES <br /> IOn 24 February 1998 a Solinst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water in <br /> each well relative to the tops of the well casings After ground water depth measurements were <br /> I collected, monitoring wells MW-I through MW-7 and vapor well VW-1 were purged using a PVC <br /> submersible pump Fifteen gallons of water were evacuated from monitoring wells MW-I through <br /> MW-3 and vapor well VW-1 and ten gallons of water were evacuated from monitoring wells MW-4 <br /> through MW-7 Temperature, pH and conductivity of purged water(ground water stabilization data) <br /> were measured at 2-gallon or 3-gallon intervals, depending on total purge volume, using an ICM <br /> model 5200 water analyzer The ground water stabilization data are included in Appendix A <br /> 22 GROUND WATER SAMPLE COLLECTION <br /> Following purging and recovery of the ground water monitoring wells,a water sample was collected <br /> from each purged well using new, clean, disposable plastic bailers Immediately upon retrieval, <br /> . ground water samples were transferred into chilled 40-m1 EPA approved VOA vials containing 0 5 <br /> ml 18% hydrochloric acid and into 1-liter amber bottles <br /> IAdvanced GeoEnvironmental Inc <br /> I <br />
