INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE OF WORK <br /> In accordance with the request of Mr Art Wyatt, Advanced GeoEnviroiunental, Inc , (AGE) has <br /> prepared this Quarterly Report for the site located at 4511 Pacific Avenue, Stockton, California (the <br /> site) The location of the site is illustrated in Figure 1 - Location illap Structures, monitoring well <br />' and soil boring locations are illustrated in Figure 2 - Site Plan <br /> Site history and a description of previous ,N ork performed at the site were detailed in Quarte?ly <br />' Repos t - Mar ch 1996, dated 30 April 1996 prepared by AGE <br /> The scope of work was to monitor and sample ground water at the site Monitoring was performed <br /> in accordance with San Joaquin County Public Health Services - Environmental Health Division <br /> (PHS-EHD) and Central Valley Regional N� ater Quality Contiol Board (CVRWQCB) guidelines <br /> for investigations of underground storage tank (UST) sites In addition to the routine analyses ran <br /> Ifor quarteily monitoring events selected ground water samples were analyzed for manganese and <br /> iron content, and for bio-enumeration and ph,,sicochenlical analysis <br /> During this quarter, AGE prepared a letter dated 13 November 1997, addressed to the PHS-EHD <br /> requesting approval of the �Nork plan addendum dated 08 October 1997 in oider to begin interim <br /> remediation and curtail the miQralion of hydiocarbons off-site The PHS-EHD could not approved <br /> the request at this tone due to the lack of a demonstrable immediate threat to drinking eater posed <br /> by the migrating hydrocarbons A reN ised NNork plan is in preparation <br /> 20 PROCEDURES <br />' 2 1 MONITORING WELL PURGE PROCEDURES <br />' On 30 October 1997 a Solinst v ater level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water in <br /> each well relative to the top of the well casings After ground «rater depth measurements were <br /> collected, monitoring wells IMV-1 through NNW-7 and vapor well VW-1 were purged using a PVC <br /> Siihnrersible numn Approximate ly IS to 18 oal Ions of wnti-r werr- evacuated from monitoring wt,-11-, <br /> MW-1 through MW-3 and approximately 6 to 8 gallons of water were evacuated from monitoring <br />' wells MW-4 through MW-7 Ten gallons �,Nere removed from vapor, well VW-1 Temperatuie, pH <br /> and conductivity of purged NN ater (ground v,ater stabilization data) were measured at 2-gallon and <br /> 3-gallon intervals dependina, on total piiroc -,nhime� icing an 1CM rnorlel 5704 -,rater analyzPi The <br /> ground water stabilization data and field logs are included in Appendix A <br /> Adm arced GmEnN ironmental Inc <br />
