INTRODUCTION <br /> In accordance with the request of Mr Art Wyatt, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has <br /> prepared the enclosed Work Plan Addendum for 4511 Pacific Avenue in Stockton, California (the <br /> site) This work plan details procedures for the installation of five additional ground water monitoring <br /> wells, seven soil vapor extraction (SVE) wells, six in-situ air sparging (IAS) wells, and conduction <br /> of a soil vapor extraction/in-situ air sparging(SVE/IAS)pilot test One ground water monitoring well <br /> will be installed on-site and four will be installed off-site <br /> The location of the site is illustrated on Figure 1-Location Map A plan of the site is illustrated on <br /> Figure 2 - Site Plan <br /> This work plan was prepared in accordance with San Joaquin County Public Health Services - <br /> Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) and Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control <br /> Board guidelines for investigation of underground storage tank (UST) sites <br /> . 20. BACKGROUND <br /> 21 SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> The site is located at the northwest corner of Pacific Avenue and Rose Marie Lane in Stockton, <br /> California and is currently operated as a gasoline dispensing station and mire-mart The facility <br /> consists of a building and three dispenser pump islands with a covered canopy <br /> 22 SITE ASSESSMENT <br /> In February 1991, a broken coupling in a product line was discovered and repaired During repair <br /> procedures, hydrocarbon-impacted soil was discovered beneath the product line Subsequently, the <br /> PHS-EHD required an assessment of the vertical and lateral extent of the hydrocarbon impact <br /> Six USTs were removed from the site on S April 1994 In May 1994, two 12,000-gallon USTs and <br /> associated piping were installed at the site to replace the removed tanks Details of the UST removals <br /> and soil sampling were presented in reports to the PHS-EHD Hydrocarbons in soil were detected <br /> in the area of the former USTs The hydrocarbon impacted soil was hmited to the eastern portion of <br /> the UST-removal area and the dispenser islands <br /> CU/ <br /> .
