PROCEDURES <br /> I41 INSTALLATION OF IN-SITU AIR SPARGING POINTS <br /> The following procedures will be performed for the installation of air sparging points <br /> I1 Prepare a Site Health and Safety Plan in accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health <br /> Guidance Manual for Hazardous Waste Site Activities - Prepared by National Institute for <br />' Occupational Safety and Health, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, U S Coast <br /> Guard and U S Environmental Protection Agency, October 1985 <br />' 2 Notify the San Joaquin County Environmental Public Health Services - Environmental Health <br /> Division (PHS-EHD) 48 hours prior to commencement of any work, while securing proper <br /> city/county soil boring or well permits <br /> 3 All IAS infection point locations will be marked at least 48 hours in advance for an <br /> Underground Service Alert (USA) check of underground utilities or pipes <br />' 4 Advance five soil borings to a total depth of approximately 60-feet bsg using a truck-mounted <br /> drill rig equipped with 8-inch diameter hollow stem augers <br /> 5 All hollow stem augers will be steam cleaned prior to any boring advancement <br /> 6 Complete each soil probe boring as an IAS infection point Each IAS infection points will be <br /> completed with 1-inch diameter PVC casing emplaced through the hollow stern augers, <br />
