QUARTERLY REPORT Arco Mini Mart 4511 Pacific Avenue L Stockton, California December 1994 1.0 INTRODUCTION In accordance with a request from Mr. Arthur Wyatt, Geological Audit Services, Inc. (GeoAudit) has prepared this Quarterly Report of activities conducted in December 1994 at 4511 Pacific Avenue in Stockton, California (the site). During the December 1994 monitoring event,groundwater samples were collected from two monitoring wells at the site. The location of the site is illustrated in Figure 1. A plan of the site is illustrated in Figure z. 2.4 BACKGROUND L2.1 Site Location The site is located on the northwest-corner of Pacific Avenue and Rose Marie Lane in a flat commercial area of central Stockton (Figure 1). The facility consists of a building and three pump islands covered by a canopy (Figure 2). The site currently operates as a Mini Mart Land gasoline station. 2.2 Initial Investigation In February 1991, a broken.coupling in a product line was discovered at the site and repaired. During repair operations, impacted soil was discovered beneath the product line. Subsequently, the San Joaquin County Public Health Services - Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) required investigation into the vertical and lateral extent of impacted soil. In October 1992 GeoAudit supervised the drilling of four soil borings {B-1 through B-4) at the site. Volatile organic vapors were present in borings B-1, B-2 and B-4 from LapproAimateiy depths of approximately 20 feet to 40 feet. No organic vapors were detected in boring B-3. Boring B-1 was completed as a vadose-zone remediation well; the remaining three borings were backfilled to the surface with grout. 2.3 Monitoring Well Installation and Sampling g Due to the depth of impacted soil at the site, the PHS/EHD required the installation and F �_ c�yol Aurin kNiva.Inc. 7 ARM QRl2-WO-1l t L
