INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr Art Wyatt, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this <br /> Remediation Update Report for 4511 Pacific Avenue, Stockton, California (the site) This report <br /> documents the operation of a low-flow ground water remediation system, the operation and <br /> maintenance of the soil-vapor extraction (SVE) system, the procedures for collection and analysis <br /> of treatment samples and the results of sample and treatment system monitoring events <br />' The location of the site is Illustrated on Figure 1 Structures, monitoring well and soil boring <br /> locations are Illustrated on Figure 2 The site history and a description of previous work performed <br /> at the site are detailed in Appendix A Data from previous ground water treatment monitoring events <br /> L are included in the tables of this report <br /> I <br /> 2.0. PROCEDURES <br /> The field procedures were performed in accordance with procedures outlined in Remedial Action <br /> • Work Plan, prepared by AGE, dated 22 December 2003, and approved by the San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Department (EHD) by letter, dated 23 December 2003 During the first <br /> quarter 2005,the ground water extraction remediation system was monitored and maintained at the <br /> site,field work included preparation for soil-vapor extraction(SVE)and startup of the SVE system <br /> On 03 December 2004,the San Joaquin Valley Unified Air Pollution Control District(APCD)issued <br /> an authority to construct (ATC) for the SVE system at the site <br />' 2 1 GROUND WATER REMEDIATION <br /> Between late December 2004 and the month of March 2005, the interim ground water pump-and- <br /> treat remediation system was in continuous operation at the site <br /> 2 1 1 Ground Water Extraction System Operation <br /> Extraction well EW-1 was utilized to extract ground water at an average flow rate of less than 2 <br /> gallons per minute(GPM)during the first quarter 2005 During the fourth quarter 2004,a low-flow <br /> pneumatic driven submersible pump had to be installed in the well due to reduced ground water <br /> levels in well EW-1 During the first quarter,the utilization of extraction well EW-2 was increased, <br /> which produced additional ground water The flow rate for well EW-2 was adjusted to 7 to 8 GPM <br />' Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc <br /> 1 <br />
