19 May 1997
AGE-NC Project No. 95-0128
based upon field observations and/or field analysis of the grab ground water samples and the
concurrence of the'PHS-EHD.
• Additional soil vapor extraction and/or in-situ air sparging wells should be installed
concurrently with additional monitoring wells, in preparation for active remediation at the
w- site.
• Due the movement of the dissolved hydrocarbon plume off-site, AGE recommends that an
interim corrective action proceed immediately. This corrective action should include, and not
be limited to soil vapor extraction and in-situ air sparging. Additionally, the removal of the
ground water in the vicinity vapor well VW-1 and monitoring wells MW-6 should be
... considered, to reduce the movement of the dissolved hydrocarbon plume off-site.
• The next quarterly ground monitoring event should be scheduled for August 1997. Wells
MW-4 through MW-7 and VW-1, as well as any additional wells installed, should be
sampled.
5.0. LIMITATIONS
Our professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised by
environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities. The findings were based mainly
. upon analytical results provided by an independent laboratory. Evaluations of the geologic
conditions at the site have been made from a limited number of available data points (i.e.monitoring
wells), and subsurface conditions may vary.away from these data points. No other warranty,
... expressed or implied, is made as to the professional recommendations contained in this report.
V
i.+
L
f..
r
