(KEI) proposal (KEI-P89-1104 . P7R) dated October <br /> 16 , 1992 The purpose of the investigation was to further <br /> determine if the subsurface soil and ground water at the site (.if <br /> encountered) has been impacted by hydrocarbon contamination The <br /> scope of the work performed by KEI consisted of the following: <br /> Coordination with regulatory agencies <br /> Geologic logging of seven exploratory borings <br /> soil sampling <br /> Ground water sampling <br /> Laboratory analyses <br /> Data analyses, interpretation, and report preparation <br /> SITE DESCRIPTION AND BACKGROUND <br /> The sub]ect service station site occupies the northwest corner at <br /> the intersection of Pacific Avenue and Willora Road in Stockton, <br /> California. The vicinity of the site is developed with residential <br /> and light commercial structures. The site is characterized by <br /> topography that slopes very gently toward the southwest, and the <br /> site is located approximately 1, 000 feet southeast of Five Mile <br /> Creek. <br /> KEI ' s initial field work was conducted on November 17 , 1989 , when <br /> three underground storage tanks were removed from the site.
