KEI-P89-1104 .R1
. January 8 , 1990
Page 5
The waste oil tank bottom and remote fill piping samples showed
non -detectable levels of TEPH and all 8010, 8020 and 8080
constituents.
Analyses of the water sample from the on-site domestic well
indicate 150 ppb TPH as gasoline with non-detectable concentra-
tions of all other analytes.
The analytical results for the old and new fuel tank pit, product
pipe trench and vapor pipe trench soil samples are summarized in
Table 1. The analytical results for waste oil tank bottom and
remote fill piping soil samples are summarized in Table 2 .
Analytical results for the water sample are summarized in Table
3 . Copies of the laboratory analyses and the Chain of Custody
documentation are attached to this report.
DISCUSSION AND RECOMMENDATIONS
In accordance with the guidelines established by the RWQCB,
further work is necessary at the site because of the level of
contamination found in the soil. To comply with the requirements
of the RWQCB and San Joaquin County Public Health Services, KEI
recommends the installation of four monitoring wells at the site
to begin to define the extent of the soil contamination, to
determine the ground water flow direction, and to determine if
the ground water has been impacted. KEI 's proposal for this work
is attached for your review and consideration.
DISTRIBUTION
A copy of this report should be sent to Mr. Harlin Knoll and Ms.
Kasey Foley of the San Joaquin County Public. Health Services, and
to the RWQCB, Central Valley Region.
LIMITATIONS
The results of this study are based on the data obtained from the
field work and laboratory analyses. We have analyzed this data
using what we believe to be currently applicable engineering
techniques and principles in the Northern California region. We
make no warranty, either expressed or implied, except that our
services have been performed in accordance with generally
accepted professional principles and practices existing for such
work.
