f <br /> 5 <br /> YAN6ETTLER - INc. <br /> July 8, 1998 <br /> Mr Edward Ralston <br /> Tosco Marketing Company <br /> 1380 Lead Hill Road, Suite 120 <br /> Roseville, California 95661 <br /> Subject Case Closure Report <br /> Tosco (Unocal) Service Station No 5421 <br /> 7303 Pacific Avenue, Stockton,California <br /> Dear Mr Ralston <br /> This report presents a comprehensive summary of all of the soil sampling, groundwater <br /> monitoring, groundwater sampling, underground storage tank (UST) and facility <br /> removals and remediation activities that were conducted at the referenced site from <br /> November 1989 through June 1998 including the recent groundwater sampling (June <br /> 1998) for oxygenates This report was prepared in accordance with the Regional Water <br /> Quality Control Board (RWQCB), Central Valley Region's Appendix B "Requests for <br /> Closure" guidance document dated March 1, 1994 The RWQCB's "Case Closure <br /> Checkhst" has also been completed and is attached to this report Based on the analytical <br /> results of all of the soil and groundwater samples collected and evaluated to date, it is <br /> Gettler-Ryan Inc's (GR) technical opinion that no further groundwater monitoring and <br /> sampling or assessment is warranted, nor is there a potential risk to human health or the <br /> environment at the subject Tosco (Unocal) site Therefore, Tosco Marketing Company <br /> (Tosco) respectfully requests site closure from the San Joaquin County Public Health <br /> Services (SJCPHS) <br /> Site Description <br /> The former service station site occupies the northwest corner of the intersection of Pacific <br /> Avenue and Willora Road in Stockton, California (Figures 1 and 2) The subject site <br /> currently consists of a vacant station building and canopy All of the underground and <br /> fuel dispensing facilities have been removed The vicinity of the site is developed with <br /> t <br /> 6747 Sierra Court , Suite J e Dublin , California 94568 ( 925 ) 551 - 7555 <br />
