This report summarizes field activities performed by Gettler-Ryan Inc (GR) in April 1998, at the <br /> above referenced site during the recent removal of the three on-site underground storage tanks <br /> (USTs), related product fines and dispensers, two hydraulic lifts, and one sand/water separator <br /> The station building or canopy were not removed during UST removal activities <br /> Removal, excavation, and backfilling activities were performed by Johns Excavating of Santa Rosa, <br /> California The USTs were transported as non-hazardous under manifest (copy attached) by <br /> Erickson to their Richmond, California, facility for disposal Dry ice was placed in the USTs prior <br /> to removal <br /> REMEDIAL ACTIVITY <br /> Remedial activities were conducted which included source removal of high concentrations of <br /> residual hydrocarbons detected in soil Approximately 200 cubic yards were removed from the <br /> base of the gasoline UST pit Confirming soil samples collected at the furthest extent of the <br /> gasoline UST pit indicated that concentrations of Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as gasoline(TPHg) <br /> ranging from none detected to 24 parts per million (ppm) These remedial activities were <br /> performed at the direction of Mr Harlin Knoll of the San Joaquin County Public Health Services <br /> (SJCPHS) per GR's Work Plan For Underground Storage Tank Removal, dated December 12, <br /> 1997 These low residual concentrations do not appear to warrant further investigation <br /> 140162 02 <br /> 6747 Sierra Court , Suite J u Dublin , California 94568 ( 925 ) 551 - 7555 <br />
