R2szooz <br /> ENVIRONMENT HEALTH <br />' April 22, 2002 RERMIT/SERVICES <br />' Mr Bob DeNinno <br /> 7-Eleven, Inc <br /> 3130 S Owyhee Street <br />' Boise, Idaho 83705 <br /> Subject First Quarter 2002 Monitoring and Sampling Report <br />' 7-Eleven Site No 17334 <br /> 4501 North Pershing Avenue <br /> Stockton, California <br />' IT Corporation Protect 779950 <br /> Dear Mr DeNinno <br />' This First Quarter 2002 Monitoring and Sampling Report presents the results of monitoring and sampling <br /> activities performed by IT Corporation at the subject site (Attachment 1, Figure 1) on January 9, 2002 <br /> A summary of activities conducted during this reporting period is provided below <br />' o Depth to water(DTW) was gauged in five site-related groundwater monitoring wells (MW-2, <br /> MW-3, MW-4, MW-5A, and MW-513) <br />' • Groundwater samples were collected from five monitoring wells and submitted to a <br /> California-certified laboratory for analysis of benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and total xylenes <br /> (BTEX), methyl-tert-butyl-ether(MTBE), tert-butanol (TBA), diisopropyl ether(DIPE), ethyl-tert- <br />' butyl ether(ETBE), tert-amylmethyl ether(TAME), and total petroleum hydrocarbons-as- <br /> gasoline (TPH-G) <br />' Background <br /> SJCPS files indicate that there are three underground storage tank(UST) sites with documented releases <br />' located near 7-Eleven 17334 the Cardlock Gasoline Station at 4555 N Pershing Ave (100 feet west and <br /> upgradient of the site), a Shell Service Station at 4445 N Pershing Ave (crossgradient of the site), and an <br /> Exxon Service Station at 4444 N Pershing Ave (crossgradient of the site) Exxon's well MW-9 is located <br />' on the 7-Eleven site <br /> Additional lateral and vertical assessment activities of dissolved methyl tertiary butyl ether(MTBE) and <br />' hydrocarbons at the 7-Eleven site, proposed to the SJCPS in an October 17, 2001 workplan, have since <br /> been revised The scope of work was changed in the field (April 2002) as approved by the SJCPS, based <br />
