Underground Storage Tank Removal Report and Work Plan for Monitoring Well Installation 7 <br /> Southland Store#17334,4501 North Pershing Avenue,Stockton,California October 27, 1998 <br /> Following installation, both casings of the monitoring well will be developed by hand bailing to remove <br /> fine-grained sediments from the casings and filter pack Water from the development process will be <br /> containerized and temporarily stored on site in DOT-approved 55-gallon drums <br /> The top of casing of each nested well will be professionally surveyed relative to a mean sea level <br /> datum The newly installed nested well, along will all site-related monitoring wells, will be monitored to <br /> measure static liquid levels during the fourth quarter groundwater sampling and monitoring event <br /> Liquid levels will be monitored using a field Instrument that distinguishes between water and petroleum <br /> products <br /> Following monitoring, field instruments will be used to determine dissolved oxygen levels in both well <br /> casings Each casing of the well will be purged prior to sampling During purging, pH, temperature, <br /> and conductivity of purged water will be measured until measurements have stabilized Then <br /> groundwater samples will be collected from each well casing Collected groundwater samples will be <br /> analyzed by a State-certified analytical laboratory for BTEX, MTBE, and TPH-G by EPA methods <br /> 8020/8015 modified, and the oxygenates TBA, MTBE, DIPE, ETBE, TAME by EPA Method 8260 <br /> 6 3 Well Survey <br /> A well survey will be conducted at the Department of Water Resources (DWR) and the local municipal <br /> water agency to locate all water supply wells and surface water bodies within a 2,000-foot radius of the <br /> site The information obtained from the agencies will be included in the subsurface assessment report <br /> and will be used to identify any wells which may be at risk due to the petroleum release at the site <br /> 6 4 Report PreparationlScheduling <br /> Fluor Daniel GTI will prepare a report summarizing the data collected under the scope of work detailed <br /> above The report will document the methods and results of the work, summarize laboratory analytical <br /> results, and include appropriate maps The report will also document field work and results of the <br /> fourth quarter monitoring and sampling event at the site <br /> Field work will commence following written regulatory agency approval of this scope of work <br /> 7 0 SUMMARY <br /> On August 25 and 26, 1998, approximately 750 cubic yards of soil was excavated at the site to <br /> accommodate the installation of two new 10,000-gallon double-wall steel USTs Approximately 600 <br /> 17334ust rpt <br /> FLUOR DANIEL GTI <br /> CEJ <br />
