The draft MRO
was transmitted by the California Regional Water Quality Control Board, Central Contact.
Valley Region (RWQCB) on February 11, 2009. This letter was prepared and is Lisa Teague
submitted on behalf of the Union Pacific Railroad Company (UPRR).
Phone:
707.776.0865 ext 18
ARCADIS proposes that finalization of the MRO be delayed until collection and
evaluation of the data from the Phase II field investigation (ARCADIS, Phase 11 Field Email
Investigation Work Plan, January 6, 2009). The proposed investigation will generate Lisa.Teague@arcadis-us.com
groundwater data from about 29 HydroPunche borings and from five additional, new
monitoring wells. Much of the proposed data will be in the transition zone where little our ret
to no data is currently available. Therefore, these new data will likely be useful in RC000709.0601.00022
optimizing the groundwater monitoring program.
Thank you for your consideration of this request. If you have any questions, please
feel free to call me at 707.776.0865 ext. 18.
Sincerely,
ARCADIS
Lisa Teague, PG
Principal Geologist
copies:
Mr. James E.
