In
fact, they were labeled in the concrete pedestal as "P13-313" and "PB-3AR". Most definately wells installed for the UPRR
ground water investigation under the CVRWQCB lead.
On the North side of the existing overpass, two additional monitoring wells (probably 4" PVC) are installed in the dirt area
on the north side of the overpasss and these are in traffic boxes, nearly flush with the surface. These wells were also
labeled as MW-16A and MW-17A on the metal box lid. Other traffic boxes are also present in this dirt area and appear to
be municiple water line valves, and NOT associated with the UPRR site.
I'll keep this email and the previous ones with our file here at EHD for any future needs. Chances are by 2011 both
Margaret Lagorio and myself will be retired. hey, 23 years for me and 32 years for Margaret are about all we can handle.
The 'nev/ guys will help you destroy these wells IF that's what needed and hopefully this notes will help them
understand/find the wells.
attached for your records are some pits showing the two piezometers in 'stovepipes' protected by bollards and the two
MWs in traffic boxes without bollards. As a point of reference, MW-17A pic is looking south-southwest and shows the
piezometers and bollards in the background. MW-16A pic is looking west toward the MacArthur Drive northerly
intersection.
thanks again for the update.
Mike Infurna, REHS
San Joaquin County EHD
600 E.
