Any person who generates a waste shall determine if the waste is <br /> a hazardous waste.', Immed ately stop recycling metal fines, make a hazardous waste determination for the metal <br /> waste, and manage it accor ing to Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. Particles 100 microns or smaller must be <br /> handled as hazardous wast if the metal is determined to be a hazardous waste. Submit a statement and supporting <br /> documentation explaining h w this waste was managed. <br /> A 5 gallon white plat tic buck t of tire soap waste solids and a 3 gallon black plastic bucket of an unknown were <br /> observed in the yard. No ha ardous waste determination has been made for these wastes. Any person who <br /> generates a waste shall det rmine if the waste is a hazardous waste. Immediately make a hazardous waste <br /> determination for th6 tire so p waste and unknown waste, and manage them according the Title 22 hazardous waste <br /> regulations. Submit a state ent and supporting documentation explaining how this waste was managed. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 103 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) No mo ified contingency plan. <br /> An emergency coordinator a d modified contingency plan information is lacking. There must be at least one <br /> emergency coordin for on si e or on call to coordinate emergency response measures, and the following information <br /> must be posted by a phone: he name and phone number of the emergency coordinator, location of fire extinguishers, <br /> spill control equipm nt, and i present, fire alarm, and the phone number of the fire department, unless the facility has <br /> a direct alarm. Immediately ppoint an emergency coordinator and post the required information by a phone. A form <br /> is provided that can be used or this purpose. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 303 CCR 66262.34(4)(2) Failed t maintain all communication or alarm systems, spill control, or decontamination <br /> equipment. <br /> The eyewash station in the s op was observed with access blocked by a shovel and lead acid battery storage. Waste <br /> liquid was observed n the se ondary containment for the used antifreeze drum. All facility communications or alarm <br /> systems, fire protecti n equi ment, spill control equipment, and decontamination equipment, where required, shall be <br /> tested and maintained as ne essary to assure its proper operation in time of emergency. Spill containment shall be <br /> maintained clean and dry at II times.
