(GTI), to describe groundwater monitoring and sampling that was
performed at the subject site on March 25, 1994.
All three site related monitoring wells were gauged and sampled. Please note, the top of casings
were not resurveyed after recent wellhead repair work at wells MW-4A and MW-10. As a result,
no potentiometric surface map, groundwater flow direction or gradient is provided in GTI's report.
Historic site measurements have demonstrated a consistent flow direction toward the north-
northeast.
Monitoring wells MW-4A, MW 10, and MW-11 were sampled and analyzed for the presence of
TPHGas and BTEX. Trace amounts of dissolved petroleum hydrocarbons were detected at each
well.
A letter dated.April 22, 1994, was sent by your agency to the Central Valley Regional Water
Quality Control Board and requested their review and concurrence with your agency's
recommendation for site certification. Until a formal reply is received from the Regional Board on
this request, Chevron will continue groundwater monitoring at the subject site.
If you have any questions or comments, I can be reached at(510) 842-8695.
D '
Sincerely,
JUN 1 3 1,994
Brett L.
