Products
Company (Chevron) to document results of the recent well abandonment conducted at the above
referenced site on August 2-5, 1993. The laboratory results for soil samples collected from the
bottom of MW-1, 2, 3, and 6 prior to abandonment are contained in Attachment I. Per your request,
the sample collected from the bottom of MW-4 was not analyzed because it contained bentonite.
In response to your recent conversations with Mr. Brett Hunter of Chevron, Groundwater
Technology has been requested by Chevron to abandon two additional wells (MW-8 and MW-9).
This work is currently scheduled for September 13 and 14, 1993 and will be conducted under the
existing well destruction permit #93-1483 issued for the first phase of well abandonment.
Groundwater monitoring and sampling of the remaining wells (under the revised sampling schedule)
will be conducted during the first week.of September. Following groundwater sampling and well
destruction of MW-8 and MW-9, Groundwater Technology will prepare a report to document in detail
all results of the work.
If you have any questions or comments, please call our West Sacramento office at (916) 372-4700.
Sincerely,
Groundwater Technology, Inc.
