The work plan also
describes the use of clean stockpiled soil, generated during the removal of gasoline storage tanks,
as backfill material upon completion of remediation activities. ;
The impending development of this property cannot proceed until Chevron removes all facilities
associated with the former service station. This will occur immediately after the completion of the
proposed remediation activities. As such, Chevron will contract a mobile laboratory to be onsite
during overexcavation activities to expedite the analytical results from confirmatory soil sampling.
Chevron would appreciate your prompt review of and response to the submitted work plan so that
remediation activities may commence as soon as possible. The work will be scheduled as soon as
approval is received from your office.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this work plan. If you have any questions or comments, I
can be reached at (510) 842-8695. J
Sincerely,
Brett L.
