PUBLIC NOTICE
NOTICE OF FINDINGS REGARDING
SITE MITIGATION PLAN
NOTICE IS HEARBY GIVEN that a corrective action plan for
remediation of an underground leaking storage tank site located at
5608 North Pershing Avenue, in the City of Stockton (APNI 108-150-
11-1) , located on the northeast corner of Pershing Avenue and
Robinhood Drive, has been reviewed by San Joaquin County Public
Health Services, Environmental Health Division. The plan is a
proposal for mitigation of hazardous substances which contaminated
the site due to an unauthorized release associated with the
underground tank that was located on the property.
San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health
Division, Local UST Oversight Program, has made a tentative
determination that the plan is in compliance with local, State and
Federal laws and regulations and that the resultant work will not
create significant adverse environmental impacts which exceed the
benefits to be gained from cleanup of the contamination.
The corrective action plan is available for public review at the
Environmental Health Division, 445 N. San Joaquin Street, Stockton,
during normal working hours, 8:00 a.m. - 5: 00 p.m. If a request by
any member of the public for a public hearing is not received by
San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health
Division by April 24, 1992 the tentative decision shall become
final on that date and time.
All requests for public hearings must be filed in writing to Public
Health Services, Environmental Health Division at the above
address. Questions regarding the procedures or the specific site
should be directed to Linda Turkatte, REHS, at (209) 468-0339.
Dated: March 25, 1992
By: Laurie Cotulla, Program Manager, Unit IV
