Of the seven
groundwater monitoring wells with sufficient water to sample, only well MW-2A contained a
detectable level of benzene(0.8 parts per billion).
Bearing in mind the extremely low level of hydrocarbons present in the groundwater beneath this
site, I would ask that you reconsider the position
taken in the letter Y p r from your office to me dated
-June 24, 1991. This letter requested a quarterly groundwater monitoring frequency rather than the
semi-annual frequency which I had proposed in my letter.of April 18, 1991. I would appreciate
your consideration of this sample frequency reduction request, and I will not enact a frequency
change until gaining your approval. I look forward to your timely response.
If you have any questions or comments, please contact me at(510) 842-8658.
Sincerely,
Clint B: Rogers
rs
Environmental Engineer !
-Enclosure
cc: Elizabeth Thayer, Central Valley Regional,Water Quality Control Board, Sacramento ,CA
A.G.
