On 6/10/02 I receive a call from Del Parks regarding the hazardous waste inspection report and the six split-samples hat we had left. Mr. Parks wanted to know what to do with the six split- samples. I told Mr. P rks that we left the six split-samples so that the facility would have the opportunity to analyz the waste streams. Mr. Parks told me that that they would analyze the split-samples they re ived. On 6/14/02 I mailed t e duplicate photos from the hazardous waste inspection to Mr. Parks. On 6/26/02 Mr. Vald z gave me the results of the analysis (TTLC) of the split-samples we had taken during the haza dous waste inspection. Sample# SBO 1, SB02, SB03, and SB06 came back as hazardous waste (Attachment E). Mr. Wilson decided to have Mr. Valdez analyze the four samples further(STL ). On 6/27/02 I called Njr. Parks and left a message that the results of the samples had come back as hazardous waste. On 6/28/02 Mr. Parks called me back. We discussed the results of the samples; four of them came back as hazardo s waste. I expressed to Mr. Parks the importance of not continuing to dispose of the hazard us waste into the garbage. Mr. Parks agreed and stated that they were holding the hazardous waste onsite. Mr. Parks stated that he had the six split-samples that we left in the process of being analyzed. On 7/2/02 1 filed a co ected copy of the analytical laboratory report, the date received was wrong and was changed fro 7/10/02 to 6/10/02 (Attachment F). I also received the analysis (STLC) in which Sample#SB02 'SB03, dhd SB06 came back as hazardous waste..Sample# SBO1 was not analyzed due to insuf cient sample. (Attachment G). On 7/26/02 I received a message from Mr. Parks stating that he is working on finding a hazardous waste man gement company to handle the hazardous waste at the facility. On 8/30/02 I received a call from Mr. Parks stating that he had removed the open containers of paint cans and had done a profile on the two 55-gallon drums with no labels (behind building four). Mr. Parks th ed me for being patient with his effort to remove the hazardous waste and explained that the rea on it was taking so long was because the facility had to go through a credit application with Kettl man Hills Landfill. Mr. Parks also told me that they are no longer using the rinse tank for the lastic bumpers and are definitely not letting the waste water run out of the tank and onto the gro nd. Mr. Parks also stated that they would remove the tank at a future date. Mr. Parks also stated hat he would provide the results of the split samples that they ran as well as the receipts for the azardous waste removed and the certification of return to compliance to our office shortly.
