included: not maintaining decontamination equipment (eyewash), no accumulation start date on hazardous waste cotainers, no labels on containers, no lids on containers and contingency plan was incomplete. On 6/10/02 I receiv d a call from Del Parks regarding the hazardous waste inspection report and the six split-samples that we had left. Mr. Parks wanted to know what to do with the six split- samples. I told Mr. Parks that we left the six split-samples so that the facility would have the opportunity to anal e the waste streams. Mr. Parks told me that that they would analyze the split-samples they rc ceived. On 6/14/02 I mailed he duplicate photos from the hazardous waste inspection to Mr. Parks. On 6/26/02 Mr. Valdez gave me the results of the analysis(TTLC) of the split-samples we had taken during the haz rdous waste inspection. Sample# SBO1, SB02, SB03, and SB06 came back as hazardous waste ( ttachment E). Mr. Wilson decided to have Mr. Valdez analyze the four samples further(ST C). On 6/27/02 I called Mr. Parks and left a message that the results of the samples had come back as hazardous waste. On 6/28/02 Mr. Park called me back. We discussed the results of the samples; four of them came back as hazard us waste. I expressed to Mr. Parks the importance of not continuing to dispose of the hazar ous waste into the garbage. Mr. Parks agreed and stated that they were holding the hazardo waste onsite. Mr. Parks stated that he had the six split-samples that we left in the process of 3eing analyzed. On 7/2/02 I filed a cc rrected copy of the analytical laboratory report, the date received was wrong and was changed fro 7/10/02 to 6/10/02 (Attachment F). I also received the analysis (STLC) in which Sample#SBO , SB03, and SB06 came back as hazardous waste.. Sample# SBO1 was not analyzed due to insufficient sample. (Attachment G). On 7/26/02 I received a message from Mr. Parks stating that he is working on finding a hazardous waste management company to handle the hazardous waste at the facility. On 8/30/021 received a call from Mr. Parks stating that he had removed the open containers of paint cans and had d ne a profile on the two 55-gallon drums with no labels (behind building four). Mr. Parks thar ked me for being patient with his effort to remove the hazardous waste and explained that the reason it was taking so long was because the facility had to go through a credit application with Kett eman Hills Landfill. Mr. Parks also told me that they are no longer using the rinse tank for the lastic bumpers and are definitely not letting the waste water run out of the tank and onto the grol ind. Mr. Parks also stated that they would remove the tank at a future date. Mr. Parks also stated that he would provide the results of the split samples that they ran as well as the receipts for the hazardous waste removed and the certification of return to compliance to our office shortly. 11.
