The Safety Coordinator/Project Manager will have the
authority to deny access to any individual without the proper
training or protective equipment required for the site conditions
or those individuals disregarding site safety procedures . All
site personnel will be under the direction of the Safety
Coordinator/Project Manager.
HAZARD ANALYSIS
The property previously operated a diesel fuel distribution
facility. Historic data and evaluation of subsurface indicate
the presence or potential presence of hydrocarbon fuel contamina-
tion.
The activities addressed by this safety plan include surface and
subsurface soil and groundwater sample collection . Although
exposure at hazardous levels are unlikely, these activities
present the potential for exposure to toxic materials through
both skin contact and inhalation. The subsurface sampling may
also pose a fire and explosion hazard from gases and vapors
trapped beneath the ground surface.
1710 MAIN STREET • ESCALON.
