The boring <br /> - was terminated at 82.5 feet, which was as deep as the hollow sten <br /> auger drill rig could drill. This boxing was converted into a <br /> vapor well for future treatment of the soil. The construction <br /> details are included on the boring logs (Attachment 1). i <br /> Three soil borings were drilled, around the farmer tank pit, to <br /> define the lateral extent of contamination. The borings were <br /> drilled to 31.5 feet below grade. <br /> Drilling was conducted by Spectrum Drilling under a C37 license. <br /> Drill cuttings were logged continuously for characterization of <br /> contamination and soil type using the Unified Soil Classification <br /> system. The soil beneath Waterloo School, consists of silts and <br /> clays to approximately 30 feet and wall graded sands and <br /> occa.3ional. clays from 30 feet to the maximum depth explored (see <br /> Soil samples were collected from each <br /> boring logs-Attachment 1). <br /> boring at five foot intex:vals. The samples were collected, <br /> preserved and transported under chain-of-custody in accordance <br /> with WaterWork's Soil Sampling Protocol (Attachment 2).
