Linden School District April, 1995 <br /> Site Specific Safety Plan Well Installation <br /> WES Project No 4062-R <br /> 10 2 LABELING <br /> Legible and understandable precautionary labels shall be prominently affixed to <br /> containers of raw materials, intermediates, products, by-products, mixtures, <br /> scrap, waste, debris and contaminated clothing Labeling of harmful or hazardous <br /> materials or wastes which are to be stored or used in site operations is essential <br /> The labels will meet the following requirements at a minimum <br /> They must be in English, not easily removed or if removed, <br /> replaced immediately, they must list chemical components, they <br /> must include the chemical or common name of the material, and <br /> they shall contain a statement which calls attention to the <br /> particular type of hazard with precautions to be taken when using <br /> the chemical Labeling is to be brief and informative and can be <br /> accomplished using stencils, tape, signs, or placards <br /> Labels for hazardous wastes will contain all information required to meet federal <br /> and state regulations <br /> SECTION 11 <br /> CONTINGENCY PLAN <br /> 11 1 SITE EMERGENCY WARNING SYSTEM <br /> Several warning systems may be utilized depending on the work site conditions or <br /> emergency involved <br /> • Verbal communications <br /> • Vehicle horns <br /> Verbal instructions with or without assistance are used to deal with specific <br /> incidents <br /> 11 2 EMERGENCY EQUIPMENT <br /> The following equipment comprises the basic emergency equipment list, of which <br /> all or some shall be available at the work site <br /> • Fire extinguishers - dry chemical <br /> • Combustible gas and oxygen detector analyzers <br /> • Organic vapor detection instruments <br /> • Appropriate spill cleanup supplies and equipment <br /> 11 3 GENERAL EMERGENCY PROCEDURES <br />. In case of an emergency or hazardous situation, the team member that observes <br /> this condition shall immediately sound the alarm <br />
