The COS has not been able to <br /> locate MW4 and continues to evaluate options. <br /> " By late May 1992, a work plan to investigate the extent of soil contamination will be submitted to <br /> PHS/EHD. <br /> ' By the June 1992 quarterly sampling, MW4 should be located, and the work proposed in the May <br /> work plan completed. Additionally, the stockpiled soil still on site,which was turned periodically <br /> by the COS Municipal Utilities Department,will be located and sampled. <br /> • By late July 1992, a summary report will be submitted which will include the results of quarterly <br /> monitoring, soil investigation, and stockpile sampling. <br /> Fontana Drive/Smith's Canal <br /> " On February 28. 1992, the 5000 gallon diesel tank was removed_ The 13 foot sample taken from <br /> beneath the tank indicated 340 ppm diesel contamination. <br /> Monitoring wells MWI, MW2 and MW3 were sampled in March 1992 and results did not indicate <br /> contamination above the laboratory's detection limits. However, MW4 had approximately 1.5 feet <br /> of free product. <br /> ' The free product standing in MW4 will be periodically bailed off and placed in DOT approved <br /> drums. The product recovery rate will be treasured to estimate free product volume. <br /> A copy of the destruction specifications for the facility well will be submitted to PHS/EHD. <br /> ' Quarterly sampling will occur in Tune 1992, with the resultant quarterly report to be submitted to <br /> PHS/EHD by July 1992. <br />
