Please refer to the attached check list. <br /> In addition to the lack of preliminary information, we have the following <br /> conments regarding the proposed workplan: <br /> 1. Submit the lab results for review and present them in a tabular format. <br /> Excavated sails should be stored on site in such a manner to prevent <br /> vapor and dust emission. <br /> 2. Aeration activities are approved and supervised by the ''I:San Joaquin Local <br /> Air Pollution Control District. Contact APCD for specific requirements. <br /> 3. Provide this office with a site specific Health and $af.ety Plan (see 29 <br /> CFR 1910. 120 of OSHA regulations). <br /> This protection should include the use of personal protective equipment <br /> such as coveralls, gloves, steel toe and shank shoesor boots (leather <br /> or chemical resistant material) safety glasses, and hard hats. <br /> Precautious should be taken to prevent excessive inhalation of/or <br /> exposure to contaminated soils. <br /> It should be noted that additional sampling may be necessary -should the <br /> results of the proposed sampling effort not adequately. defi-ne. the extent of <br /> Contamination. <br /> Due to the proximity of groundwater, a groundwater investigation may be <br /> necessary regardless of the outcome of this soil evaluation.
