(AGE) has
prepared this work plan for abandonment of a domestic well at 3400 Newton Road, Stockton,
California.
BACKGROUND
Two domestic wells are currently located on the subject property. One well (DW-1) is located
approximately 90 feet east of the former UST system and has been out of service sense 1978 due to
sand infiltration problems. AGE was unable to located specific records concerning this well, it's
construction or date of installation.
A second well (DW-2) is located approximately 134 feet north of the former UST system and is
presently providing water to the site. The well is constructed with six inch PVC-casing to a total
depth of 263 feet.
Since DW-1 has been out of service and it is the closest"receptor"to the former UST system, the
San Joaquin County Public Health Services - Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) is
requiring proper abandonment of the well. Prior to abandonment, the well will be purged and
sampled. After sampling, a down-hole video of the well will be performed to determine exact
construction specifications. The well will be pressure grouted and abandoned in accordance with
PHS-EHD requirements.
4005 North Wilson Way, Stockton,California 95205
Telephone(209)467-1006 FAX(209)467-1118
