Advanced ,
GeoEnvironmental , Inc . -=
26 March 2012
AGE-NC Project No. 99-0592 _
Mr. James Barton - CVRWQCB
Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board I Z
11020 Sun Center Drive
Rancho Cordova, California 95670
Subject: Well Destruction Work
MOORE TRUCK LINES
3400 Newton Road, Stockton, California
Dear Mr. Barton:
At the request of Mr. Frank Moore Jr. of the former Moore Truck Lines, Advanced
GeoEnvironmental, Inc. has prepared this work plan for the destruction of eight(8)ground
water monitoring wells (MW-1 through MW-8) at 3400 Newton Road, Stockton, California
(site). The site and the surrounding area are illustrated in Figure 1. Structures, soil borings,
and monitoring well locations are illustrated in Figure 2. This work plan was prepared in
accordance with Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board guidelines for the
investigation of underground storage tank (UST) sites and letter dated 08 February 2012
and further in accordance with the San Joaquin County Department of Environmental
Health (SJCEHD) Standards For Well Construction and Destruction.
INTRODUCTION
A total of eight(8)shallow ground water monitoring wells(MW-1 through MW-8) have been
installed on-site as part of the ongoing subsurface investigation at the site. Based on
results from historical investigations (soil and ground water sampling) wells MW-1 and
MW-8 are the only wells installed at the site with significant reported petroleum
hydrocarbon impact to either soil or ground water. Therefore, AGE proposes to over-drill
wells MW-1 and MW-8 to one foot over the installed depth of the wells (62 feet below .fid 65
surface grade [bsg] for well MW-1 and 71 feet bsg for well MW-8). Further AGE proposes
to pressure grout wells remaining, non-impacted wells, MW-2 through MW-7 (all installed
to a depth of 75 et bsg: MW-2 and MW-3 or 7 feet bsg: remaining wells).
 —
?Y1 w 11617
All wells, pressure grouted or over- riled, will be destroyed in accordance with the
SJCEHD Standards For Well Construction and Destruction.
837 Shaw Read• Stockton,(.A 95 1
Telephone(209)467-1006 • Fax 13091 467-1 1 18
