23 May 2001 <br /> AGE-NC Project No. 99-0592 <br /> Page 4 of 8 <br /> The elevations of the finished ground water monitoring well-casing tops will be surveyed by a <br /> licenced surveyor. <br /> 3.2.2. Ground Water Sample Collection and Analysis <br /> Following installation and development of the monitoring wells, one ground water monitoring and <br /> sampling event will be conducted at the site. Ground water samples will be collected from the <br /> proposed monitoring wells and submitted for laboratory analysis. Ground water samples will be <br /> analyzed for TPH-g,TPH-d,BTEX, EDB, 1,2-DCA and fuel oxygenating compounds following the <br /> methods presented in Section 3.2. Additionally, monitoring activities will include recording depth <br /> to ground water measurements. Ground water sample collection procedures are described in <br /> Section 4.4. <br /> 3.3. REPORT PREPARATION <br /> Upon completion of field work and receipt of final laboratory analysis, a report will be prepared <br /> presenting the findings of the investigation. The report will include a description of the work <br /> performed and results of the sampling and analysis. Conclusions and applicable recommendations <br /> will be included in the report. The report will be in a format acceptable to the PHS-EHD and <br /> CRWQCB, and will be reviewed and signed by a California Registered Geologist. <br /> 4.0. FIELD PROCEDURES <br /> All field procedures will be overseen by an AGE representative under the supervision of a California <br /> Registered Geologist. Procedures for soil sampling, ground water sampling, monitoring well <br /> installation and development, equipment decontamination, and sample shipment are outlined below. <br /> 4.1. SOIL SAMPLING PROCEDURES <br /> Soil samples will be collected in three borings utilizing a truck mounted drill rig equipped with <br /> hollow-stem auger and a California split spoon sampler fitted with three six-inch long brass sleeves. <br /> Soil samples collected utilizing the California split spoon sampler, upon removal from the sampler, <br /> sample sleeves will be separated with a clean knife. The exposed ends of the sleeves will be covered <br /> with Teflon sheets, capped and sealed with tape. Soils encountered in the borings will be visually <br /> classified by an AGE geologist in accordance with the Unified Soil Classification System(USCS), <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc. <br />
