E; I
Project No. S8100-06-30
July 25, 11995
Page 5
of the site if provided by Caltrans. Locate the wells relative to the grease and oil building
using a tape measure.
• Coordinate the removal and disposal of soil cuttings and purge water from the site.
Laboratory Analyses
The laboratory analyses specified by Caltrans for soil and groundwater samples collected under
this TO are as follows: '
• So,il samples will be tested for TPHg and TPHd following EPA Test Method 8015
modified and BTEX following EPA Test Method 8020.
• Groundwater samples will be tested for TPHg and TPHd following EPA Test Method 8015
modified and BTEX following EPA Test Method 8020.
Quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) measures will be performed for each method of
analysis with specificity for each analyte listed in the test method's QA/QC. QA/QC will include
the following:
• One method blank for every ten samples, batch of samples or type of matrix, whichever j
is more frequent.
• One sample analyzed in duplicate for every ten samples, batch of. samples or type of
matrix, whichever is more frequent.
• One spiked sample for every ten samples, batch of samples or type of matrix, whichever
if more frequent, with spike made at ten times the detection limit or at the analyte level.
• One travel blank for every batch of groundwater samples.
Re ort Preparation
• Prepare a draft Site Investigation Report summarizing the results of the field activities and
laboratory testing. The report will include but not be limited to the following:
- Background summary including tank removal activities
- Scope of services performed -
- Observations during the field activities
- Results of field activities including laboratory results k
- Site Plan and Vicinity Map
- Discussion of remedial options assuming that potential soil and groundwater impacts
have been delineated
i
