Impact Discussion: The proposed project is for the establishment of a commercial cannabis cultivation and distribution facility, which will convert existing structures and construct an additional 25,200 square foot cultivation building. Hazardous materials such as engine motor oil, antifreeze coolant, propane, nitrogen gas, and diesel fuel may be used and stored on site. The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department(EHD) requires the owner/operator to report to the California Environmental Reporting System (CERS) before any hazardous materials/waste can be stored or used onsite. The existing regulatory framework for the transport and use of any hazardous materials will ensure any impact is less than significant. The project site is not included on the California Department of Toxic Substances Control EnviroStor database map, compiled pursuant to Government Code 65962.5 and, therefore, will have no impact on the safety of the public or the environment.
