SOIL REMEDIATION i
,I I
TreeHouse Nursery i
8980 E . Highway 12
Victor , CA '
F t
Owner: Herb Preszler ( 209) 365=`1545 }
This site originally contained a waste oil tank which was
used for waste oil byh a service station . The tank was removed
on March 5, 1990 by Herbst Engi4eering of Sacramento. Soil test-
ing , done by California dater L!hbs, Modesto, revealed high con-
centrations of lead ( 9 75 mg/kg ) land oil (5300 mg/kg ) . All other
elements testedwell below limits.
I propose to cle!'an up then site of these contaminates by
removing I
o zng the soil wzti-s a backhoe; , loading the soil directly into
a truck . The soil will be taken directly to a facility in
Bakersfield for disposal in all licensed disposal site for con-
taminated material . h expectlto remove 50-100 yards of con- F
taminated dirt. 11 ?
Soil testing' would follow evacuation of the contaminated ;
soil , again donepby backhoe . ilSamples would be taken from a
sidewall and below the excavation by Fruit Growers Laboratory of
Stockton . These . samples willjjbe analyzed for TPH-6 , TPH-D , }
BTX&E, and total oil a;nd grease: Lead testing will be done wet
analysis under Title 22.
pp F
This remediation;iwill take place at the location of the
waste oil tank (NO. 4 ' of the original testing ) which was 'behind
the building ( see accompanying diagram) . Ground water depth is f
below 50 feet , and': l would expect to have no additional impact on
II
water supplies . J
k
Removal of contaminated soil should bring the concentrations
of contaminates to the level normally inchiginous to this area .
There should be no; need for further monitoring of this site. i
' 19
SUBMITTED BY: Robb Hoag , Robb ' s Earthmoving Service
P.
